1613 the Globe Theater burns down. It was where Shakespeare hung out.

1852 Henry Clay the great compromiser, dies at 75

1854 Gadsden Purchase (parts of Az, NM) from Mexico for $10 million Here’s how it read.

1863 TheVery 1st First National Bank opens in Davenport, Iowa after the National Banking Act is passed.
