Night baseball begins in Cincinnati and the first Bomb Shelter goes on display in 1959. And SNL"s "Not ready for Prime Time Players " play for the last time in 1980. In interesting Birthdays we have Elsa Maxwell and Claire McCardell.
1626 Peter Minuit buys Manhattan from Indians for trinkets, valued at $24. It was of course a bit more complicated then that.
1807 Angela Merici canonized (founded Ursuline order)
