And Julius and Ethal Rosenberg are executed in Sing Sing. It’s the debut of Garfield the Cat, The FCC and The Rocky Horrow Show.

1536 Ann Boleyn is beheaded

1566 Mary Queen of Scots gave birth to a son, James, who eventually would be named the heir of Elizabeth I of England as well as succeeding Mary as ruler of Scotland

1623 Blaise Pascal mathematician/physicist/religious writer is born

1846 the first baseball game is played in Hoboken N.J. under the then more elaborate Cartwright rules.
