In 1976 the first woman is admitted to the US Navel Academy.  Pasteur inoculates the first person for rabies and the first all star baseball game is played today in 1933.  It's also an important day in the annuals of malted milk.

1785 Congress resolves US currency named "dollar" & adopts decimal coinage

1798 the first Alien and Sedition act passed by Congress against Jefferson Republicans.

1820 Judith Sargent Stevens Murray died (early feminist, writer of the 18th/19th centuries)

1853William Wells Brown publishes "Clotel," 1st novel by a black American

1885 Louis Pasteur inoculates the first human for rabies. He also did important research into anthrax and silkworm disease.

1886 Horlick's of Wisconsin offers the first malted milk to the public

1894 Cleveland sends 2,000 troops to Chicago to suppressthe Pullman strike

1923 Union of Soviet Socialist Republics is formed
